A moving experience, well worth the effort to get there.

Enjoy that envy while you can Nick. I'm slowing down on the trips of late. These days the closest I get to foreign shores is a visit to Ikea.

Judging by the number of people I saw visiting, including a couple of school groups, one from Korea, I'd have to say yes future generations will remember.

Thanks for the history refresher on this region.
I've been interested in the CBI Theatre of WW2 since seeing "Bridge on the River Kwai" about 15 years ago. I recently purchased Donovan Webster's book "The Burma Road", but haven't read it yet. Will future generations remember what happened here?
