If it's not in stock, don't order it! Long delays, and worse.

Before I get to the problems, I want to say that I had four positive experiences with Unica Home orders. When I ordered items that were in stock, I received them in a reasonable amount of time. They were packed safely. The prices weren't overly high. The only flaw was that the return policy is restrictive -- they only allow store credit; no refunds.
But earlier this year I ordered some glassware that wasn't in stock. I was told it would be shipped to me within 4 weeks -- that was 4 MONTHS ago. Communication was a problem from the beginning, because they didn't answer emails and when I called, I got vague answers from clerks who sounded very defensive. When I finally talked to an owner of the company, I realized that the employees are trying to do their best in a terrible working environment. The owners are dishonest and manipulative. Customer service is non-existent at Unica Home.
I'd say go ahead and order things that they say are readily available, but if it's a special order, find it somewhere else. I recommend RetroModern, which sells a lot of the same stuff. It can take up to a month to get certain things, but at Retromodern they're honest and let you know exactly what's going on.
