Pros: Best bang-for-the-buck
Cons: Surrounds aren't the most durable
The Bottom Line: Best buy in subs out there, period. Strong performer for the above average use. No show stopper though.

I have installed, listened to, and owned, a LOT of subs. I don't even think there is much competition to these in terms of performance for the dollar. JL created a great sub when they unleashed these. You have to spend at least $40 per speaker to get something as good or better than the W-0's.
This speaker is very at home in a variety of enclosures. Sealed and ported suit it well, and in a properly designed (follow JL specs!!) bandpass they absolutely slam. Sound quality is fairly high, and durability is good, although the surrounds harden in about a year is left in a sun-exposed install (such as in the rear deck).
These subs will slaughter the others in it's field, such as Sony Explodes (yuck, please don't buy, read my review) and Pioneer's (good for the money, but not as good as JL's). My next install will include W-0's (maybe just one), as long as I don't suddenly become rich and able to afford super subs.
As for power, these can get loud off 80-100 rms a piece. But don't be afraid to crank power into them. JL tests their subs for 8 hours at a constant wattage. Whatever is the highest they can handle without damage they divide by 2, then round down to the next even 25. Being rated at 125 rms means these can take 250 or more for 8 hours. I have seen them running 300 a 12 with no problems. If you are blowing them with less than you are dumb and need to let off on the distortion.
