| Ladysmom's Full Review: Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release Gels |
I have taken Tylenol for years, now. This is the main pain reliever in my house, mainly, because I can't take much of anything else due to a couple of medications I'm on and the heartburn I get from a lot of others.
For a long time I was taking Tylenol Arthritis Pain 650mg Caplets which seemed to work fairly well for my aches and pains. It wasn't instant relief and sometimes took longer than I thought it should have to go to work.
Just before my surgery, in February, I discovered Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release Gels and decided to try those for my aches and pains. They did work faster than the Tylenol Arthritis Pain 650mg Caplets and they are only 500mg of pain reliever in each capsule. This seemed weird, why take extra medication when less works better!
When I eat something with refined sugar, in it, within 10 minutes I have a headache, the kind where it feels like someone with a metal bat hit you in the head. I was taking Tylenol Arthritis Pain 650mg Caplets to try to get rid of that miserable headache and it would take up to a hour for the medication to start working. In the meantime, you would be left in tears until the Tylenol Arthritis Pain 650mg Caplets when to work in your system.
When I switched to Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release Gels the medicine would start working within 5 minutes. I attribute that to the laser holes that are drilled into the side of each capsule so the capsule doesn't have to dissolve first. The medicine is already starting to enter your system. Now, if I don't use my brain and grab for something that has sugar in it, I can get relief.
Before my surgery in February, I went to the store and stocked up on a few things, such as Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release Gels and food that I would need and my husband would need.
Nine hours after I entered the hospital, I was released to go home, along with a prescription for Demerol, which he and my daughter had filled before my release.
The Doctor said that I could resume my normal life once I was off the Demerol and could drive short distances as long as I wasn't taking the strong pain killer.
After two days, I thought I would try the Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release Gels, instead my husband (bless his heart, this is the first time he has ever taken care of me after surgery, usually it was my mom or his. They are no longer with us.) brought me two Tylenol Arthritis Pain 650mg Caplets. At that point, I didn't know if my arthritis was acting up, but I knew that those 5 incisions were and they were hurting. The Tylenol Arthritis Pain 650mg Caplets seemed to take forever to start working. I asked him if I had picked up the wrong medication from the store and would he look to see if we did have Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release Gels. After six hours and waiting over an hour during those six for the medicine to kick in, he brought me two Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release Gels. Within 10 minutes, I was feeling the pain starting to subside. It never went away completely, but it made the pain a whole lot bearable and I was able to move around the house and get my own food and go to the bathroom without any help.
From that moment forward, I kept taking the Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release Gels every four hours as recommended on the bottle. Of course, my husband had to ask the Doctor, when he called, if that was OK for me to do and leave off the Demerol. The Doctor said yes and that he was glad that I no longer had the need for the stronger medication. That told him things were going well.
Both Tylenol Arthritis Pain 650mg Caplets and Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release Gels work well on minor Arthritis pain, but I seem to get faster relief when using the Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release Gels for that an any other pain.
As for the Tylenol Arthritis Pain 650mg Caplets I will purchase them in a pinch, but I try to keep the Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release Gels on hand at all times.
I paid about $7.00 for a bottle of 100 and find that to be a real bargain for something that works fast, like the Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release Gels.
I guess you can tell which one I highly recommend.....the Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release Gels.
