Pros: Wifi, seamless wifi to GSM transition. Can use instant messaging on wifi. Bluetooth, VGA camera.
Cons: Wifi, seamless wifi to GSM transition. Can use instant messaging on wifi. Bluetooth, VGA camera.
The Bottom Line: The Nokia can be used as basic phone with Wifi capability. Other than that it is nothing more, nothing less. It does has bluetooth and its VGA camera is lackluster

The basic idea behind the wifi phone is to connect to a wireless internet instead of GSM network, whenever the wireless internet is available. This saves the minutes on the regular GSM network. It comes at a small cost - $9.95 per month. If you have a wifi at home and a wifi at office, you will be connecting mostly through the Wifi rather than the regular GSM network. The only other instance when you will not be using the Wifi network will, then be, when you will be traveling.
Essentially it means that by paying $10 extra for Wifi service and using Wifi service at home and office you practically get unlimited call m.inutes.
Look and Feel
The camera is small size thick design unlike the recent trends of sleek designs. You may easily mistake it for a old design. It is about 1 inch thick and fits pretty well into your palm. It shows battery power, antenna strength and time when closed.
On the left side of the phone there are two buttons that can be used for vol When you flip open you see a 1.75 inch display that is just good enough of basic viewing. You will not like to see the pictures on it.
Photo and Video
The Nokia supports maximum photo resolution of 640x480 or VGA resolution. It supports two other resolutions - 320x240, 160x120. The quality of photo is pathetic. It blurs photo even with slightest shake. The video quality blurs even more with slightest shake.
Music Player
The music player is a nice feature. You will need a Micro SD card to communicate to PC.
Setting Up Wifi
Setting of Wifi is intuitive but users should know SSID and key. After searching for available networks you will have to enter the key. Once you save the configuration the phone automatically connects to the Wifi network when it is available. Voice quality .
The Voice quality
The voice quality has been good for GSM. There is a Speaker phone, that can be used, if required. The quality of the Speaker phone is pretty decent. However I have serious complain to T-mobile about their Transmitter signal strength. I am not able to receive my GSM signal in my office building. It is either 0 bars or 1 bar. The voice quality is otherwise good. The Wifi voice cuts sometimes because of the Comcast cable network.
Miscellaneous
The camera shows strength of the signal with a red circle sign or a antenna bar depending upon whether the signal available is wifi or GSM.
Some Concerns
The computer connectivity is through the Micro SD Card. Now a days USB is the standard mode of communication, so a USB connector with some synchronization software would have been a great addition to the phone feature.
