| mcbeck's Full Review: ADP PC/Payroll for Windows |
ADP wooed me away from Paychex with promises of lower costs and a better web-based product. This is the worst professional decision I have ever made. After switching to ADP in the beginning of Feb 2007, we haven't had a single payroll run without error. PTO accruals are incorrect, rate changes don't stick from one pay to the next, and support is abominable. We had so many problems we were offered a credit, but it was to be rationed out over 7 months. When we objected to this ridiculous method of crediting, the offer was withdrawn.
They have been extremely difficult to work with. Our problems have included late tax filings, incorrect unemployment rates, inaccurate account debiting, myriad data entry errors, and delivery mistakes. Yes, they sent our checks to the wrong address and it happened more than once.
The product we're using, Resource, has zero canned reports and the custom report creator leaves much to be desired. Several of our reports had to be created by ADP, and we can only receive them per payroll, we can't run them ad hoc.
We have spent more time on our payrolls these past seven months than we've spent on payroll over the past 5 years. It's cost us more in lost productivity for our accounting and payroll manager than it saved in the marginally lower processing cost.
