My aunt gave me this stockpot for my wedding 5 years ago. It's perfect for boiling lasagna noodles, making chili, and large quantities of...well, anything! When a friend was hosting a chili party and needed a big stockpot, I was happy to lend her mine. She was amazed at how evenly it heated and how well it came clean, even after chili had cooled in the pot after the party. She threatened to steal it from me!
My other cookware is from the Revere Chef's Request line, and this piece is just as well made as it's heavier counterparts. It's lightweight but extremely durable. It has withstood the above mentioned chili party, forays into the world of soap making, and the attempts of a novice cook whose first kitchen timer was the smoke detector! It's just as shiny as the day I got it, with the exception of the copper bottom, which I probably should polish. It doesn't look bad, though, just gently used. The cover fits snugly, and the handles on the pot and cover are very secure.
This pot is one of my favorite wedding gifts. My own mother has attempted to sneak it out of my kitchen and into hers!
