Our Cable company decided that they wanted to go Digital and that the price was going to go up to around $53 a month for just basic service.

So we decided to go with Directv it was cheaper then cable. I brought the Hughes Network from Blockbuster on July 7 of this year and had the appointment for then to install the system on July 18. Sounds so easy doesn't it. July 18 came around, no one showed up. So I called that afternoon and wanted to know what was going on. They told me that they didn't know and they would rescheduled it for the 19. He didn't show up on that day also. So was rescheduled for the 21 again a "NO SHOW" and all they would say was they didn't know why he wasn't there and that they COULDN'T get a hold of him to find out. So we rescheduled for the 9 of Aug. All Customer service would say "we can rescheduled that for you" It would have been nice if someone would have called to say "he can't make that appointment today" In the mean time the installer called and said he would be out on the 7th, again a "NO SHOW" he decide that he would show up on the 8th and YES I did get it installed on that day. Because of buying it though Blockbuster I was to get a $25 dollar gift certificate but it had to be installed by the end of July because off all the "no shows" I didn't get it installed on time and they would not honor the certificate. They don't carry local channels so if you want them you have to pay another 5.99

Now that I have been watching it for over a month. I love it the picture is great. The kids love the all the different channels that they can watch now. It is saying us over $10 month over cable with a lot more channels.
