| mgewecke's Full Review: Motorola Timeport P935 |
I worked at Arch Wireless as a 2-way rep, so I have had a lot of experience both using and selling the Timeport 2-way device. Smaller than a laptop, yet larger than an average pager, the Timeport provides mobile email connectivity for professionals. Also, the Timeport allows for contact management storage, up to 200 addresses. The benefit the Timeport versus similar devices (Blackberry) is that the Timeport has a very easy interface. Arch's 2-way network also outperforms other networks in terms of speed and reliability.
The Timeport has a clamshell form factor, lessening the chances of dropping and damaging the face. This is a big plus for anybody who may tend to drop the unit from time to time.
The best feature of the Timeport is upgradability. Motorola will give any developer the protocol to the Wisdom OS, so you can develop applications on your own. The OS is sleek and reliable.
I found that while Blackberry RIM's are more well-known among techies, the Timeport is a better device for a better price.
