Will the 2008 Accord strike a chord with buyers this time around?

Pros: Its an improvement over the 2007 model with Acura-grade hints.
Cons: Overly cheap feeling interior. Base trim needs more power. Less space than outgoing model

I always enjoy reading your reviews, as you notice things about cars that I do not and generally have an interesting perspective. So I hope you'll continue to work on improving the quality of your reviews. I'd recommend focusing on two things.

First, many sentences aren't well-written. It might simply be a matter of taking a second pass through the review after you write it, and seeing if each of the sentences reads easily and well. You might consider a larger number of shorter sentences.

Second, more thorough research and fact-checking. For example, the Accord coupe will have VCM with the automatic, just not with the manual. Also, VCM is not in any way a substitute for variable valve timing, which all of these engines also have.

ALL GOOD POINTS.

I never really liked japanese cars because they all tend to be too small inside (with the exception of the Lexus LS) and they have a very cluttered button pattern which makes it seem as if they were putting buttons in to make a fashion statement.

The pull levers next to the drivers seat look cheap.
The plastic looks cheap.

You'd get so much more car for your $30,000 if you useed it to buy a used 300C or a New 300 touring - or an Avalon.

And yes - Japanese designers copy The German cars and more lately the American cars for their design elements. The Honda ridgeline is proof that the Japanese will copy anything.

Why did they not go with a more aerodyamic shape? Everyone knows that the Prius is one of the most efficient cars produced on the road and is slippery in shape. Honda should take note and keep on going with what they started with the Aero.

The 2008 Accord is not even close to the Civic make over of the last generation. The navagation is a step backwords. If you look at apple, as in the IPhone or IPod, everything is touch screen. Honda made the mistake of coping the worst of BMW in the single button control.

The plastic on my 2007 Accord is much better, and the leather seats more comfortable. The accelaration on the 2007 is great and has a nice tone to the engine when pushed. Some reviews noted that the 2008 lacks the same punch.

The new 2008 body design looks not as pulled together as the Acuras. The lines do not come together as well, and the grooves in the body and hood look out of place. The best part of the car is the rear on the sedan, and the front view is OK, though not inspiring. The rear does look like the BMW 5 series. The 2007 looks more like a Mercedes rear, with a Cadillac type third rear light across the top of the rear trunk. And the front hood of the 2007 seems to be more aerodynamic, more like the old Citroen Messerati design. Honda should have improved on the 2007 front end instead of going the way of a large grill.
