Oops. Thought I'd rated this already. Done.
Hmmmm. Well, perhaps I'll give this machine another try. It really was pretty handy for those few minutes it was working well. As you noted, not super-powerful, but plenty for "sweeping" driveways and sidewalks, which is really what I need.
Thanks for your response.

No, I've not noticed any problem like that. Still use mine everytime I mow the yard.

Think I got a defective one (Reply to this comment)

Nice review. I wonder if you've noticed any weakness vis a vis the motor wanting to shift around where the intake is underneath. I bought one this weekend, and brought it back because it quit on me almost immediately, and although I got it working, I noted that the problem was that the spinning intake mechanism under the unit will shift around inside the housing, rubbing up against the sides and causing the whole motor to slow down or even seize.
It was easy to see where it had shifted to one side and actually burned plastic shavings off of the edge of the casing. Looked to me like a design problem, but now I'm wondering if I just got a defective unit. I've got several Ryobi One tools, and this was my first bummer, and even this one worked nicely -- for about five minutes. Have you seen any evidence of this tendency on your machine?
