RIM has made Instant messaging so simple with the blackberry and the mobile communicator. Cell phones are simply too difficult to work the keyboards. Both work off of cell phone signals so beware of your service area and plan ahead! The bad news is the price, the good news is the trend is to come down in price. The bold and beautiful ( not too mention we gadget hounds) are paving the way and paying the way for the rest of you and soon prices should approach a level of less than a hundred dollars. Further, with miniaturization ever improving it won't be too long before these rim gadgets should be surfing the WEB.
Watch your battery power however, more work needs to be done in this area. A typical battery will last 4 to 5 days but, if you only turn it on when YOU want to communicate, the battery can last as long as 4 weeks!
WARNING: Once you use one of these RIM made communicators you'll have a hard time parting with it!
