My recommendation is that you take a tour of Universities you are applying to, to find out if it is a place you will enjoy spending 4 years.

this is a really helpful epinion. though undergrad and grad schools are behind me now, i have several family members who are applying. i will refer them here for tips!

The funniest thing that happened to me during a campus trip was when my dad and I were visiting WPI. He fell asleep in the middle of a mechanical engineering presentation. I thought it was hilarious because he himself was a college professor at Wharton at the time.

I am starting college in a few weeks, and I spent a day visiting the campus to see where important places like the cafeteria (i love food) were located. I found your tips on visiting a college very helpful, as I imagine I would be more frightened of starting college if I had never even seen the campus. Great work!
