This is the first and only printer that we have purchased so far. As of now I do really like it.

The Canon BCJ-3000 is not to big, fits nicely on our desk. I've never had a problem with the print quality or speed. The thing I like the most and the reason we purchased this model is the seperate ink cartridges. There is black, red, yellow and blue. When 1 runs out instead of tossing all of it and wasting the other colors you just replace the one that is empty. This saves a lot of money!

This model is ink-jet. It is compatible with both pc and mac. This is made for personal desktop use. The Max. Media Size is Legal (216 x 356 mm) and the Media Capacity is 100.

The printer comes with variety software, including American Greetings CreataCard Special Edition, Canon Creative, , OfficeReadyCC, PrintMaster SE desktop publishing, and TextBridge Pro OCR software.

It prints very well in black and white. I've also printed pictures on this printer and was happy. They are even better when using the photo ink and paper.

We've used this printer for over a year now and have had no real complaints. Sometimes when the ink gets low you have to set at a slower speed to get good quality.
