I hope someday to read all the onres I missed, but I gotta set some limits or well....I will be even crazier than I am!!!! But I am looking forward to reading your stuff more regularly from now on. My apologies for my absence. Jude

I think six films is enough....and there might be a TV show (Reply to this comment)

I am apparently the only person in Epinions who has enjoyed the prequels, flaws and all, without worrying about flat acting, dependence on CGI, or even Jar Jar....Call me naive, but I just enjoy these movies...a lot.

That having been said, six films is enough. Nine would have been nice had today's technology been available in 1983, but three more films would simply bring on more naysaying about Lucas and Star Wars.

The latest rumor I heard is that Lucasfilm might develop a Star Wars TV series.

By the way, I love Revenge of the Sith. It's a nice poetic counterpoint to Return of the Jedi and it reflects the movie's theme.

I haven't been holding out hopes for 7-8-9, although I do think it highly likely that Lucas will hand the rights to someone else to do them. Surely they will have enough integrity to keep the opening music, yellow words and all that intact, and if they do, they got it made.

Of course, surely George already has a clone in conception, who will be 19-20 by the time another 16 years passes after Sith. And the beat goes on..!

I would vote for scenario three.

Seems to me the whole 'cast and culture' has enough cachet to make
them a very valuable property.

I would think someone (don't ask me who (whom?) ) will continue the
journey.

I agree that the prequels are fairly tepid compared to the middle trilogy. I think Lucas just made a conscious decision not to kill himself over them the way he did the first three, so we get a tradeoff's return on the prequels. On the other hand, can you imagine what a kid in 2006 or later is going to see when he or she sees 1-2-3-4-5-&6 in chronological order? The whole drama will get better and better all the way through to the Ewok victory party. The greater joy belongs to the people of the future.

Lucas has amended his vision of nine chapters. Chapters 1-3 are OK, but they aren't in the same league as Chapters 4-6. He waited too long to continue the series, and has no plans to do Chapters 7-9. I guess reality caught up to Lucas and his vision of 20 years ago. Thanks for sharing!

Sincerely, Pat

I watched the 2 prequels, but something has definitely been lost. The acting is so flat, although perhaps Lucas should have handed the director reins to someone else.

I really wanted "The Rise of the Empire", for a title, but that's just a personal preference. With these prequels, Lucas should just leave things at 6 movies.
