The Bottom Line I'm too opinionated not to participate!

Disclaimer: This is my say. If you are easily offended by people you do not agree with, stop here and don’t read any farther. I am going to give my opinion freely and without reservations.

Also, I’m Canadian, so some of the questions don’t necessarily apply to me. I will still give my opinion on these of course ;)

1) Do you believe in science's evolution theory or the Bible's creation theory?

Quite frankly, I think that the creation theory is a lot of bunk. Scientists look at the evidence and try explain what they see with theories. Creationists take a theory and try to make the evidence fit it. Enough said.

2) If you believe in the Bible's creation theory do you disbelieve science in other areas such as medical research, geology, astronomy, physics, biochemistry, etc?
N/A

3) Why do you think "we are here?" (Why do humans exist?)

I don't think there is a reason. Then again, I am not a philosopher ;)

4) Can we ever truly be happy by grasping for material things (cars, houses, CDs, movies, clothes, etc.) or should we be more concerned about affecting/improving others' lives?

No, we cannot be happy if we are just grasping for material things. Why? Because there will always be something out there that we don't have. Someone else will have a larger gas-guzzler than you do, so that competition will always be there. It's much easier to be content with what you do have. It's ok to want nicer things, but you shouldn't make your life revolve around that desire.

5) Do you think ADD/ADHD are more a product of environment or genetics? Why do you think ADD/ADHD has become so prevalent in the last 20 or so years?

I don't know a lot about this condition specifically, but I would lean more towards environment, and that we now know how to recognize it, when it may have gone undiagnosed in the past. In general though, I believe a lot of conditions that were not so prevalent in the past (e.g. cancer, asthma) are more prevalent now due to the poisoning of our environment.

6)Are you a Democrat or Republican or something else? Why do you subscribe to that ideology?

I'm not really either. When deciding who to vote for, I look at what each candidate is offering.

7) George Bush or John Kerry for President? Why?

Honestly? Neither. But if I had to choose, it would be Kerry. Bush had his chance, and look at what he did with it.

8) How do you feel about Ralph Nader getting most of his support from long time Republicans in the form of campaign contributions and signatures to get Nader on the ballot this fall?

This isn't something I have an opinion on because I do not know enough about the situation.

9) Has toppling the regime of Saddam Hussein really made us safer? Or has it infuriated more Muslim fundamentalists and made us a bigger target?

I think it needlessly put a lot of people at risk of terrorism.

10) Was the Abu Ghraib torture scandal a big deal to you?

It was irritating, and sad to see people acting like that. But in a way, it doesn't surprise me. Soldiers are put under an extreme amount of stress, and that would have to hinder your ability to make good decisions. Their entire environment would be poisoned, and that would have to be hard on anyone. Not that's I'm justifying what these people did. In the end, it could have been much, much worse.

11) Why has Osama Bin Laden, the mastermind and financier of 9/11, been virtually ignored since the Iraq Invasion began?

Honestly, I don't know. I guess you would have to ask Bush about that. It is eerily reminiscent of 1984, The way they were at war with one country and suddenly switched to being at war with another country. The people shook their heads, looked around, and starting crying out against this new country they were supposedly at war with, completely forgetting about being at war with the other country. It is frightfully scary how well Bush succeeded at this, and how many people fell for it.

12) Do you think America should support and/or participate in a possible invasion/attack against Iran?

Enough invading already! Perhaps the US government should spend their tax money at home. Or perhaps the country is so perfect that the people of America don't need all that money?

13) Have you seen or plan on seeing Fahrenheit 9/11? If you've seen it what did you think about it?

I have seen it. Twice. I think it needed to be said, and I applaud Michael Moore for saying it. Yes, it was biased. It needed to be. We are inundated with biased newscasts 24/7. I think a two hour documentary is allowed to be biased.

14) Do you think we, as a nation, are more united or more divided since 9/11?

Americans seem to be more united. But that's as an outsider looking in.

15) The Terminator is Governor of California, Madeleine Albright was Secretary of State under President Clinton, and other foreign born American citizens have contributed to this country. Should foreign born American citizens be allowed to run for President?

It depends. If someone was born in another country, but moved to the US as a child, they are as American as any child born and raised in the country. Perhaps there should be a minimum years of residency clause or something ;)

16) Do you trust the electronic voting machines that will be used in some states this election?

I would not trust them. That just makes it way too easy.

17) Does the United Nations fill a relevant or necessary role in todays world?

I think they fill a role, just not to the extent that they used to.

18) Why are you Pro-Choice or Pro-Life?

I'm a little of both. Personally, I am pro-life. I don't want children (at least not at this time), but I would NEVER have an abortion simply because I did not want the child (I would have one to terminate a pregnancy if the baby had a severe genetic defect). However, I think that taking that choice away from women is infinitely worse.

19) Why do you support or condemn the death penalty?

I condemn it because it is barbaric. I condemn it because it is hypocritical. I condemn it because it brings the state/country/etc to the level of the criminal. I condemn it because it is not a deterrent. I condemn it because it is cold-blooded revenge, pure and simple. I condemn it because a life in jail is a much worse punishment than humane euthanasia.

20) Any final thoughts or feelings?

Not really. I think I've said everything :p
