On 10-19-07 we had Verizon Fios installed for our high speed internet service and they rewired our home and business phones at the same location where we live. As of the writing of this, my business phone service has been knocked out for 30 hours. Our home phone service worked initially but stopped working today. Our FIOS internet worked fine until today 10-20-07 , then slowed down.
Thank goodness we kept COMCAST High Speed internet which we have reverted to.
Phone calls to Verizon Repair service regarding our home phone and business phones went to their customer service people in the Phillipines. The customer service person said, "Your account is inactive...call the billing office on Monday"...this implies that we weren't paying our bills.
Are they crazy or what?
I called COMCAST tonight and will be getting rid of Verizon FIOS for our internet and business and home phone service. We will be paying an additional $40.00 a month for two new phone lines keeping our present phone numbers. Verizon has been charging us $160.00 for two phone lines
Shame on you Verizon for fooling us into thinking you know what you're doing with Internet Service.
Our long over 20 year relationship has come to an end.
All we got today 10-20-07 when we called to say our home and business service has been interrupted was a recording saying that high call volume may cause a long wait.
We had to use our cell phones to get incoming and outgoing calls.
We are still waiting for Verizon to reactivate our phone service and our internet has slowed down.
Don't be fooled by Verizon....stay with COMCAST if you're thinking of switching.
