Cons: Don't use on light days - drying hurts; not available everywhere

Years ago, when Instead used to advertise on late night commercials, I ordered and used Instead. It worked like a charm and I loved it. But, for some reason I stopped using them. Recently, I'd say in the last year or two, my cycles have been grossly heavy. It was no exaggeration for me to get up in the morning and stain my bed, have a trail of blood behind me as I went to the restroom, and as I removed my underwear, a GUSH of blood splatter all over the floor, and sometimes everywhere else on my first through third days of my cycle. Then, during the day, I'd have to check myself constantly, wear no less than 3 extra long, overnight, heavy duty pads all day, and HOPE beyond HOPE that I wouldn't have an accident. I couldn't laugh, sneeze, cough or talk too loudly. When I'd go to the restroom, I'd have to wait for people to leave so that in case there was another GUSH, no one would be there to witness the clean up and the embarrassment. I have grown weary and discouraged and often want to hide away during my period.
I've been looking at getting Instead again for the past couple of months, but thought I'd have to order it, which discouraged me a little. Then, last week, on day two of my cycle, I had a horrible day. The morning thing, the bathroom at work thing, the sneezing at my cubicle and staining myself thing ALL happened that morning. I managed to clean up to stay my whole shift, all the while wishing I had ordered Instead. That afternoon I'd run out of pads and had to stop off at the pharmacy to restock. I swore that even though it was a long shot, if I found Instead, I'd buy it. Well, isn't God good...I found them! I snatched that box up so quickly and a smaller bag of pads.
I went home right away and prayed they'd work. I put one on, and still used 3 pads. I was going out with a friend that night and couldn't take any chances. Well, guess what? IT WORKED! I still needed the pads, but mostly as back-up and not to soak up the RED SEA! I was so relieved I almost cried. I thanked God so much because now I had the solution I needed.
Well, the rest of my period went off without a hitch. I went out over the weekend, I enjoyed the company of friends, I danced and laughed and sneezed and yelled! I wasn't afraid to sit down or stand up! Praise God, Instead truly is a blessing!
