Care packages are an excellent way to show your college student you care.

Every College Care Package Needs Underwear (Convenient Underwear) (Reply to this comment)
by sallythatgirl
Great review and tips. Here is one every mom or dad needs to remember. I found a brand called Briefly Underwear http://www.wearbriefly.com and they are the best things ever. I was sending her some fragile stuff also so I used pairs of the single wrapped underwear to wedge and pack things safely and snug (worked perfect). Back to the undies themselves, they are 100% cotton and can be kept anywhere as they are compact. I was so thrilled when I got a call from her and she told me her Briefly underwear saved her from a potentially very embarrassing situation. Can't say enough good stuff but the kids love them and so do I, I actually buy packs for myself now also. Only bad thing is I need to go to my travel store or online for now to purchase them as I can't find them at Target. I called the company and they are new and working on being available everywhere sundries are sold. Start with one pack of 3 their only like $5 and she will be asking for more, I guarantee.

Oh if only I had a Mr. Potato Head to keep me company in the dorms. Maybe he could have convinced me to stay there and finish school. Maybe he would have made psychic predictions and told me what awful jobs I would work if I didn't listen. That would have scared me into staying!!

Good suggestions (Reply to this comment)

I would add the following: a Mr. Potato Head for company and to fill empty minutes,
a vacuum cleaner to keep things tidy,
and potato snacks, either chips or sticks.

Hi Brandi,
So true. I wish for you a bounty of care packages.
At the same time, I would like to remind any family members who might run across this that I need books in the care pakages. I am sickened, sickened by all the baby toys and clothes you all are sending, not to mention childrens books. Look send me some classics and will read them to the kids like they were Little Red Riding Hood or something.
That is all.

Gary

BTW: It was a good review. I read it a second time.

My niece is heading back for her Junior year in a few weeks and I always like to send her a nice package to start the year as her mom lives overseas.

Thanks for the tips on care packages. I am printing this review and distributing them to all I know.

Many people have family in Iraq as well as college and your "packed with ideas" review will suely come in handy.

Thanks again.

My best,
Carol

VN Review. Thanks for the reminder. I haven't sent my son a care package for a while. I used to send one rather frequently, but lately I've been busy and haven't done it. I am going to get him one together this weekend. I always include little surprises for his girlfriend too. Makes em both happy.
