"Children of Paradise" on the #1 spot. I probably saw that about eight years ago when I was still in high school, and it managed to resonate with me. That's saying something!!!

...all-time favorite movies made your list. La Belle et la Bête is just stunning - even today. I almost picked it to show to my daughter last night, but she opted for Phantom Menace instead. Oh, well. She's only six. Time for the finer things next week. ;-)

I'd make time to watch "Olympia" again to be confident in feeling it belongs on the list... Maybe Pabst's "Comradeship" or "Three-Penny Opera" and Rosselini's "Open City" or "Paisan" or "Germany, Year Zero," but no dubious choices on this list!
