We found 2 years' worth of dirt on the floors, dark cat-cack stains on the carpets, ˝-inch thick crusts along the toilet rims, countless webs hanging in ceiling corners... complete with a large assortment of insect carcasses.... Ooooh, the list goes on.

I have a house full of lens and mirrors and no regular camera or gear for sharing the horrors. How pathetic. I'll have to remedy that one of these days.

Remodeling the house eh? I was wondering what happened to you. Been trying to help the ol' man fix up a house occupied then abandoned after 8 years of being pooped on by a feral tribe of meth-infested Yahoos. It used to be a nice cozy little place. I don't know Doc well enough to join in the roast here, but I fell in love with her writing nearly instantly, and immediately felt like she was someone I'd like to know.
You lucky b*tch, you got to meet her!! (I haven't abused you lately, have I? I miss that.)
Seriously, this was great, and her offer to take your daughter in... well, I don't think you need to say much more about what a special person this is.
