Yeah, Becca felt exactly the same way. I didn't mind it because I found the absurdity of the scenes quite funny.

I didn't mind the modern type things. But she was made out to be so perfect all the time and too much of a...hmm..goody two shoes I guess. Just thought they went a tad far with that part.

Nancy seems to be changing with teh times!! As it was an enjoyable film I'm sure she can be forgiven for trying to be a modern girl... :-D

I read a lot of the Nancy Drew books when I was growing up. I sort of felt like your wife did about Nancy in this movie. She just wasn't the Nancy I remember from the books, but the movie was still good and entertaining.
