Whisperscream's Write Off: My Life Soundtrack

The Bottom Line .

I’m sorry to say that I haven’t been participating in a lot of write offs as of late. I’ve signed up for them, of course, but nothing stuck and I felt really bad afterwards. I just don’t have the motivation to get certain write offs done what with my regular reviews pumping as well as my “social life”. But when I heard about Whisperscream’s write off I knew that I just had to participate. The rules are this: you’re life is a movie so make a soundtrack for it. Man, this is such a good idea that I’m surprised no one else has made a write off of this caliber. As for my choices, some will be surprises while other will be no-brainers. I like this write off because I can express myself and have people get to know me better, which isn’t only creepy, but it’s sort of fun as well. Hopefully you’ll agree with some of my terms, but if you don’t then to hell with you because this is my list. I’m joshing you. Write a comment on a complaint. I won’t read it, but just have it there for your ego. Without further ado here’s my goddamn list:

Opening Credits: Rocket From The Crypt, Savoir Faire
Waking Up: The Descendents, Everything Sux
Average Day: Good Riddance, Weight of the World
First Date: Dead Prez, Mind Sex
Falling In Love: NOFX, Whatever Didi Wants
Love Scene: The Offspring, Intermission
Fight Scene: Dead Kennedys, Riot
Breaking Up: The Descendents, Wendy
Getting Back Together: Blink-182, I’m Lost Without You
Secret Love: NOFX, She’s Nubs
Life’s OK: Rancid, Ruby Soho
Mental Breakdown: Any Good Charlotte Song (I Would Be Crazy)
Driving: Dead Kennedys, Winnebago Warrior
Learning A Lesson: Swingin’ Utters, Five Lessons Learned
Deep Thought: Pennywise, Holiday In The Sun
Flashback: Foo Fighters, Come Back
Party Song: Billy Idol, Dancing With Myself
Happy Dance: MC Hammer, Can’t Touch This
Regretful: Supersuckers, Don’t Go Blue
Long Night Alone: Goldfinger, My Girlfriend’s Shower Sucks
Death Scene: Pennywise, Bro Hymn Tribute
Closing Scene: None More Black, Ice Cream With The Enemy

Call me corny. Call me old fashioned. Call me anything except “bad writer”. But don’t say that my list sucks, because in my opinion it’s a pretty rad list. I had some alternates for some songs. On the “First Date” topic I thought about putting Twiztid’s Fu*konthefirstdate, but I decided not to since people are touchy nowadays. As for my “Happy Dance” I was going to put that guy who wrote that song about being too sexy for his clothes, but I didn’t because I didn’t know the name of the song or the “musician”. Lastly, I just want to clear up that I put Blink-182 on there only because that song suited the category and it is, in fact, one of the few good songs off of their newest record. Well, uh, I hope you enjoyed my list and hopefully you can make your own damn good list by clicking here. It was fun and in the end I bet my soundtrack would sell a zillion copies and one. Take care now, bye bye then.
