I have ordered from Vistaprint.com two times in the past. Once when I worked at a company where I didn't get business cards and wanted them to be able to put in lunch drawings, and once when my husband started his side business and wanted some business cards. However I received an email about getting free personalized Christmas cards and thought that sounded fun, so I checked out the site again.
I did use the link from the email to get directly to the site. I selected the design I wanted and easily personalized the cards. I had to the option to add more text for more money but declined. Then it asked if I wanted to buy matching address labels. I also declined.
Then I chose the shipping method. Basically the cards are free but you pay for shipping. The options (for ten cards and ten envelopes) were 21 days for $5.95, 14 days for $9.65, 7 days for $13.65, and 3 days for $25.69.
I chose my shipping and continued, and then I had to go through about 10 offers that I needed accept or decline to complete my sale. This was pretty annoying. I understand this advertising is what helps allow me get 'free' holiday cards, but it was slightly aggravating to have to keep saying I wanted to skip this offer, then the page would refresh and I'd have to skip the next offer.
This site sells products that can be printed. You can get business cards, holiday cards, invitations, rubber stamps, stationary, and a few other things, even personal checks. You can use their designs or upload your own. And you can upload photos as well (especially for the holiday cards).
Their prices are decent and they always have some free options. The only thing with the free products is that they do print their logo on them somewhere, and you always pay for shipping.
I placed my order on 11/20 at about 1:10pm. I got a confirmation email eight minutes later. Two days later I got email telling me my order had shipped, although it did not provide any shipping information. It had a link to get more shipping info, in the email. I clicked on the link, logged into my account and saw it was shipped via USPS with no tracking number.
One week after that email (this including the Thanksgiving holiday) I got my cards with envelopes. They were sent in a padded envelope, which worked perfectly for what I ordered and had a coupon for 25% my next order and a little catalog of their products. Nothing over the top compared to the order placing process.
For something that took 9 days to arrive when I paid for shipping that said expect it to take 21 days I was very impressed. The product is nice too, especially for being free. If you can put up with saying no to tons of ads the price is right on some quite decent printed products.
