The Bottom Line My expanded entry into the Soundtrack to your life W/O!
This is my entry into Whisperscream Soundtrack To Your Life W/O but you'll notice one big difference between the one he created and the one that I have posted..... mine is much longer! A few weeks ago I actually came across something similar to this and spent a good two hours coming up with all my answers. So, after receiving his permission, I have posted my expanded list of entries for this W/O. You can participate in it by going here. Opening credits: "Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve When I was younger, I began writing a screen play and one of the first directions I had was that I wanted this song to be played as the sun was seen rising over a horizon. It just invokes that image to me with the opening strings. Waking up: "Intuition" by Jewel, "I Won't Worry (The Remedy)" by Jason Mraz I love both of these songs for their high spirited message which is what I try to feel like when I first wake up... unfortunetly it usually only lasts for about 2 seconds. Average day: "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi, "Superman" by Lazlo Bane This is how my day usually turns out. On a good day, it's "Superman" (the theme from Scrubs) and on a bad day, it's Bon Jovi First date: "Steppin Out With My Baby" sung by Tony Bennett Come on! Do I really need to explain this one?!? First kiss: "Crazy" by Britney Spears Don't laugh! This song always make me think about how incredibly intoxicating it is to just lose yourself in a kiss Falling in love: "Storybook Love" by Mark Knopfler, "Desperately" by Michelle Branch, "Clever" from El Hazard These are three very good songs to me for this occasion. The first is the love theme from the movie "The Princess Bride", then Michelle Branch and finally a great love song from a wonderful anime that I've reviewed. Seeing an old love: "Release Me" by Wilson Phillips, "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" by Kylie Minogue I had to break out the 80's tunes for this! I loved Wilson Phillips as a kid and this song was a big help me again when I became a teen. Kylie's song however is more poppy and refers to seeing an ex that you don't mind seeing again. Heartbroken: "Are You Happy Now?" by Michelle Branch, "Angry Johnny" by Poe, "All You Wanted" by Michelle Branch, "It's Over" by Tuuli, "I Know You're F#ckin Someone Else" by Type O Negative, "Superman" by Eminem As you can tell, my movie would have lots of break up scenes so I had to choose a few of my favorites Getting back together: "You're Still The One" by Shania Twain I always did love the simple melodies of this song and it's lyrics are gorgeous. Secret Lust: "Invisible Man" by 98 Degrees, "Everything You Want" by Vertical Horizon, "If You Could Only See" by Tonic, "Here Without You" by Three Doors Down I always use these songs to help me through times when I can't tell someone how I feel for various reasons. Getting ready to go out: "Get This Party Started" by Pink This one was actaully hardest for me to fill out and I had to save it for last. Finally I decided on this one because it makes me wanna dance around like an idiot. Partying with friends: "Turn Me Loose" by Eminem and Limp Bizkit, "Big Balls" by AC/DC, "Freakin At The Freaker's Ball" by Dr. Hook If you knew my friends, these songs would make absolute total sense! Acting goofy with friends: "How Bizarre" by OMC, "What's My Age Again?" by Blink 182 Again, meet my friends! Dancing at a club: "I Like Big Butts" by Sir Mix A Lot, "The Bad Touch" by the Bloodhound Gang I don't care who you are, these songs are classic dance songs! Flirting: "Everybody" by Backstreet Boys, "Truly Madly Deeply" by Savage Garden, "Perfect Drug" by NIN When I feel like being very seductive.. it's BSB. When I feel like being romantic, it's Savage Garden. When I feel like being direct, it's NIN. Feeling sexy: "Caramel" by Suzanne Vega Wanna get me in the mood? play this song. Walking alone in the rain: "Rainy Day Man" from Sailor Moon, "Overkill" by Colin Hay Two great songs that really make me think. Missing someone: "Out Of My Head" by Fastball, "Everywhere" by Michelle Branch "Out Of My Head" is one of my all time fav songs for it's simplictic message of regret. As for Michelle Branch, I just love her and will take any excuse I can get to listen to her. Playing in the ocean: "Shooting Star*" from World of Narue This was also a very difficult choice for me so I chose a happy anime song. Summer vacation: "Paradise City" by Guns N Roses I was tempted to go with Alice Cooper here but GnR won out. Taking A Stand: "Defy You" by Offspring, "We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister I actually have a mix cd made of songs that I listen to whenever I need to get revved up and these are the first two songs on that cd. Fighting with someone: "One Of A Kind" by Breaking Point, "Bring Da Ruckus" by Wu Tang Clan These songs really make me feel powerful and ready to take on anyone. Thinking back: "How's It Gonna Be" by Third Eye Blind Pretty self explanatory. Feeling depressed: "Wind Nocturne" from Lunar Silver Star, "Dock Of The Bay" by Otis Redding When I'm miserable, these are the songs that run through my head. Christmas time: "Carol Of The Bells" by Trans Siberian Orchestra My favorite arrangement of my favorite carol (even if I don't celebrate xmas). Falling asleep: "Passionate Days" from Princess Nine Yes another anime song. This one often puts me into a very relaxed state and is just a nice reflection song. Mental Breakdown: "Somewhere I Belong" by Linkin Park, "Hold Me Down" by Tommy Lee Great songs that totally sum up how I feel when I am really confused. Driving: "Life Is A Highway" by Tom Cochran The ultimate driving song! Learning a lesson: "Goodbye To You" by Michelle Branch, "Drive" by Incubus Wonderful songs to help me realize that tomorrow is a new day. Deep Thought: "My New Beginning" by Mitchell Hunter, "Waiting For My Real Life To Begin" by Colin Hay Two artists you might not be familar with but great songs that I listen to when I really need to think hard about something. Happiness: "King Of My World" by Saliva Everyone feels like they rule the world when they are really happy! Regretting/Nostalgia: "The Freshmen" by The Verve Pipe, "Dreaming Of You" by The Coral Perfect for when you've treated someone wrong or you slept with someone you shouldn't have. Long night alone: "Do You Know What It's Like?" from Zanna Don't, "Hit Me Baby, One More Time" by Ahmet and Dweezil Zappa Well I had to throw in at least one showtune and then I went with a pop cover. Saying Goodbye: "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday" by Boys II Men, "Gone Away" by Offspring When you need to say good bye, say it with tears. Death Scene: "Time Of Your Life" by Green Day, "Fly Away" by Poe I want both of these songs played at my funeral! closing credits: "Miss Misery" by Elliot Smith This was the song played during the credits of Good Will Hunting and I think it fits me too. If you made it through all that I applaud you! Thanks for letting me post my expanded list into this W/O... now if you'll excuse me, I have more anime to review. |
