The Dragon Humbly Opines....

It would be nice if one could simply add a new product by writing and posting the review...

3 years later and things haven't changed. I'm continuously amazed at the output of some members who seem to churn out a review every two days on a product not even its manufacturer has heard of. How do they manage to find its page so readily?... Hm...

Worthy rant.

understand your frustration, I have about 5 products I'd like to write about and 6 restaurants, but alas no where to write them yet,

In travel our CL Surgrn911 is fantastic about adding things so maybe you can write a travel review..:)

Thanks for stopping by my most recent review, it is controversary as well as differing opinions that has kept this site viable for so many years now,
Good to see you again

Luckily, the movie CL has always been good about honouring requested additions to the movie database (well, she's good to me at least!)

I took a tip from ed_grover... whenever I have a review like that and I can't get a brand add done in a timely fashion (or at all), I plop my review in WC. That way I can enlighten the masses on my wonderful finds and don't worry about it being Off Topic. Apparently, sometimes the magic database fairy gets the DBAs off their collective behinds and these items appear, at which point you can move your review and be granted pennies for them.

In fact, I have my own series of "The Best Stuff Epinions Doesn't Have Listed." Feel free to copy. :)

Hey Leslie! Yeah, something came over me and I actually spent many fruitless hours trying to figure out how to review that new convection oven. Only as a last resort did I look for and find a place for New Skin.

It was an irresistible impulse, similar to what overcame you, I suspect....

Thanks for your kind words,
Pamela

I would from your consistently VH (and entertaining well-written epinions), but also from your wonderful earrings which I still wear and enjoy often.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for this to get "fixed". But I'm glad you found something else to write about. Funny how this place still has some strange attraction, isn't it?

Glad you still come back and play sometimes. (I'll get over to your other "new" review when I'm not avoiding getting ready for work...promise.)

Why thanks! It just came to me yesterday morning, right after I got the invitation to participate in the Write-On. Obviously a case of pent up frustration surfacing.

Heh, I knew I was preaching to the choir in you! Five more years! I don't know if I have the strength to wait around for another five years just to see if they can catch up to the rest of the world.

I am not a big fan of change for its own sake. When things change they had better really improve or be left alone.

Is that one of the pools where you inflate the top ring and it rises as it fills? We have an Intex and utterly love it. I will be reviewing it by and by because they are just not as simple as they look but worth the effort to get it right.

I guess as long as this place is still here I will be drawn back again and again, in spite of the bickering....

Sorry about that, it was suggested by the host that my review might be more appropriately placed in this category so I moved it at once.

Thanks for your input, I will try your suggestions.

Perhaps another note to Arm and Hammer will get more results? The new toothpaste really is great stuff that actually does add new enamel to one's teeth. My dentist is very excited about it and tells me that it is a hot topic among his colleagues. They would be delighted if all their patients used the stuff.

I just got hold of the largest aero pool & a chance to review -but 3 other models, not the large one are in the data base.
BUT (& I have a very big but!) clicking on the SAP suggestion link on Pogomom's homepage has gotten 2 items added in H&G in the last 2 months. If that's not the way you went, I suggest that for your H&G item.
I've had less than no luck in Electronics and Travel.
I have a couple more things to review when the muse strikes and then I too may be out for another couple of years.

Anyway I will try again. Arm & Hammer has not been a brand on the site because over a year ago I filled out the SAP form for a product and have not received it yet.

I just did a search and found four items - which is the one I requested, but not the flavor we use. Sometimes the site gets things added automatically so checking out the link for new products helps too:

http://www.epinions.com/browse/new_products/

I looked and did not see the Oven listed, but a related deal does come up which is where you can get the image to fill out this form for H&G:

http://home.earthlink.net/~hghotlist/form.html

This is the page that gives data on all sections and how to do the SAPs:

http://home.earthlink.net/~hghotlist/clsap.html

Hope that helps
