I have had this unit which I purchased last winter, and used it often. Living in N. Virginia, so on and off had many opportunities.
The advertised radius (25 feet) is nowhere near the performance. You have to be within 5 feet from the unit if the temperature is below 50, and right below the dome if it is around 30-35 degrees.
DEFINITELY DO NOT USE IN WINDY CONDITIONS. It is outright dangerous, if it is on, the presence of the dome makes it vulnerable to wind, and it will tip.
My model tipped despite my effort to tie it down and the dome was damaged.
