I ordered a camera on 11/13/07 with the promise that it would ship in 3-5 days in time for Thanksgiving. When it did not arrive, I attempted to cancel, but was told by customer service that it had shipped. I then received an email saying it was on back-order. I attempted once again to cancel and was told I would be charged a restocking fee of $30 even though I never received the camera. I finally was able to talk to customer service and get a cancellation confirmation, but it took many phone calls and long waits on the line. I will NEVER do business with this company again. They are not honest when telling you they can provide you an item.
In this day and age of computers, the sales representative had to know this particular camera was on back-order, so I do not understand why he promised delivery in 3-5 days. Additionally, when I placed the order online, it did not say that the camera was a European model and that the instructions would all be in French. When I attempted to change the order to the American model, I was told it would cost more. So I believe there ads, showing a better price, are fraudulent because nowhere does it say that the camera is a foreign product. I found the entire ordeal stressful and dishonest.
