The Airlink-101 N wireless router is an awesome product for the price of $45 at Fry's Electronics. For less than $100 I got the router and two USB adaptors!! For the price point it beats name brand routers such as Linksys, Netgear and D-link series N routers. I took a chance and bought this router even though the sales folks at Fry's discouraged me. This is because I have had very good success with prior Airlink G and b routers over the past 5 years.
Optimum performance is obtained when you use the N adaptors on your computers. Range is pretty good. I have a 8 Mb cable broadband connection with Comcast and could get close to 2.6Mb wireless connections over 60 feet away from the router (Speakeasy bandwidth test used by Comcast technicians). I am currently using the combo n/g/b option as my kid's laptops support 'b' and 'g'. The documentation is reasonably good and I had no problems following it when setting up the router and configuring the security option.
Airlink support is also exceptional. When I had a problem with the first Airlink 'b' router towards the end of the first year, they replaced it free of charge. When setting up my Airlink 'g' router 2 years ago, I called customer support ....in India and they patiently worked with me for over 30 minutes until I was satisfied.
I work for a large networking company so it took a lot of debate before I decided to write this review for a competitive product. Anyway, I would highly recommend this product.
