If you’ve read any of my shoe reviews, or reviews of places to buy shoes online, you’ll know already that I wear a size 5 shoe. But, just for those of you out there that don’t know, yep, I wear a Ladies size 5, and brick and mortar stores out there in the world just don’t carry 5s a lot. So, I’m left to suffer with no shoes (no not really). But, I do find that I have to order shoes online- nearly 9 out 10 times I am shopping for shoes.
So anyway, for the first time ever I decided to check out Zappos.com- I had read several other positive reviews on the place, so I decided to see what was up in the size 5 department over there. Luckily when you log onto zappos.com, you can click directly on ‘search’ and then you can click on your size. Not only does Zappos have women’s shoes, they also carry men’s, kids, in various widths, may I add, and also accessories such as backpacks, watches, and glasses.
Now then, back to me, after searching by my size, they had 15, 269 shoes in my size, which is probably more than I have seen ever in one place- usually places that carry a 5 online only have like 10-20 to choose from. All kinds of shoes were available, boots, pumps, flats, flip flops, Crocs, sneakers, sandals, mules, slides, loafers- if you can put it on your foot they had it. The pictures of the shoes were excellent too- you could see shoes from several different angles, and they had customer reviews about the shoe you were looking at.
So, I just wandered around until I found something I just absolutely had to have- a pair of SoftWalk Murietta slides that I had never seen anywhere else. They were priced at $99 something, but they had free 1 day shipping, and no tax was going to be charged with my order. Plus, if they didn’t fit right, Zappos has a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and I could send them back free of charge.
Checking out was easy- I just entered all necessary info and they accept all major credit cards, and once you check out you get an email letting you know they got your order. As long as you order by 1 p.m. Pacific time, your order can be shipped the same day with this free overnight shipping promotion they have going on. I got an email later on that same day letting me know my order had shipped, along with a tracking link from Fed Ex, and the next morning I checked it, and the shoes were on their way out for delivery, and sure enough they came the day after ordering.
The shoes look just as they were pictured, and I must say, I am really excited over this website, and I would highly recommend it, especially with this free overnight shipping deal they have going on (until Dec. 22, 2007). Even if they didn’t have free overnight shipping, they always carry free standard shipping anytime- which is a online orderer’s paradise. I will shop here a lot more from now on!
