no one answers the customer service number, took me two weeks to get through

Completely unacceptable! I ordered a pasta maker as a gift which said AVAILABLE and SHIPS IN 24 HOURS and after a few days received an e-mail saying there was a delay. I called the customer service number several times during normal business hours and there was no answer and no room in the voicemail, and then it hangs up on you! I also wrote a couple of e-mails that were never responded to. After another week I finally got a hold of them and they told me the item was BACKORDERED FOR 4 MONTHS! The e-mail they sent me said nothing about this. I asked to speak to a supervisor to suggest that maybe they put that information in the e-mail since it is so hard to get a hold of them because if I had known I could have made other arrangements, I waited on hold for 45 minutes until I hung up.
