I purchased a Panasonic HD Camcorder online from Camera Addict. It was very reasonably priced, however, I soon learned why. A couple of days after I placed the order, I received an email asking me to call and confirm the order. I have had to do this before for other retailers and so was neither surprised nor bothered. The representative who answered the phone sounded like a bored high school student begrudgingly doing his job. He asked me repeatedly if I would like to buy additional items, despite my repeatedly telling him I wanted nothing except for the camera. After he made it through his list, he informed me that I had placed an order for the Japanese import version of the camera. If I wanted to American version, it would cost me (surprise!) around a hundred bucks more. Classic bait and switch! I asked him to cancel my order and he said "ok" and hung up on me. Makes me think this bait and switch routine is their basic mode of operation. I will never buy from them again and I warn others away. Their deals may seem good, but expect to be conned for more money before anything arrives at your door!
Also, note that every good review for camera addict was written on the same day. Think that they're legitimate? Hardly.
