After a few weeks of pouring over reviews on a all kinds of vacuums from a number of websites, reading Consumer Reports findings, and going to Sears to test a variety of different brand vacuums I made my choice and am I ever HAPPY!!!
Assembly was a snap. The vacuum pulls effortlessly behind me, the tools are right there at my finger tips, the suction is AMAZING, it has great suction for going along the sides of walls and anything else, the power head easily converts from rug to floor with the push of button using your foot and it has SO MUCH flexability manuvering around things, it has a telescoping wand that can be easily shortened or lengthened, the noise level is quite quiet for a vacuum with so much power, there are no bags, has a washable/reuseable hepa filter, and has a retractable cord. My children were as impressed as I was as they watched it pick up all kinds of yuck--dirt, dust, dog hair and who knows what else out the carpet! They even noticed a difference in the feel of the carpet after vacuuming---much softer.
I did test Dyson's upright--suction was great, but the floor tool had limited flexability for going around things and no side suction. It sucks itself down to the floor so that it has to be dragged across the floor with alot of force inorder to get it to move.

The reason I choose them was because the site looked genuine--company name properly copyrighted, had a street address, phone number, and provided tracking. There were two other websites I considered because their prices were about $14.00 less and one of them was including a free car cleaning kit. I didn't go with either because both websites looked suspect and one didn't provide any tracking for the shipment.
