Definitely. Empowering both lenders and borrowers and keeping the banks out of the forefront is the beauty of the whole program.

a fascinating concept. I am certain that there are many baning and lending institutions giving themselves "The Big Dope Slap" for not thinking of this one first.

As a matter of fact that's EXACTLY how I'm spending my Epinions bonus and 10-4-10 earnings :D. So far I've had nothing but good from Prosper and have been funnelling all my online earnings into it...since it's only "extra money" that goes there I'm a little less paranoid about how I invest it and many of my loans are at 20% interest or better (D credit grades) and no one has ever paid late yet. I'm surprised it hasn't caught on in a really big way yet, but give it time. Great review!
