Cons: Lots, bad customer service.

I cancelled my Verizon service two months ago, to move my service to Comcast. I had Verizon FiOS TV, so had set top boxes to return. Unlike Comcast, Verizon has NO drop off locations, so they wanted me to take an entire day off work to sit home and wait for a tech to pick up the equipment!
I was not able to take off work, tried to call to cancel my appointment the day before, and sat on hold for an hour. A rep finally answered, and HUNG UP. Nothing drives me more crazy than sitting on hold, you finally get thru and the overworked rep on the other end just disconnects you, (probably so they get a breather, Verizon is notorious for its call center sweatshop environment)
The tech showed up the next day at 4pm, I was not home. I TRIED to call to tell them! Anyway, good thing I didnt sit home all day to wait for the guy. So I tried to call again and again to resechedule, I only have limited time during the work day, so I try at lunchtime to get thru. I am sitting on hold now, the time on my clock says 48 minutes. Still no answer. Meantime I get warning notice in the mail yesterday, dated 12/18, which says if I dont return equipment or contact Verizon to set up appointment, my 12/21 I will be charged for the boxes. I am TRYING to call! There IS no place to return equipment!
