CDNow is easy to use, competitively priced and has outstanding shipping department. They cover a broad spectrum of music, however lack depth on some obscure artists.

My music collection is fairly eclectic. I'm prone to moving from main stream hip-hop, the likes of A Tribe Called Quest or Wyclef Jean, directly into punk/emo influenced music, bands like Q and Not U or The Stereo, then melodically flow into the powerful genius of Radiohead. CDNow offers a great blend of music to fit my needs because of my eclectic nature. I'm not particularly a scenester, focusing solely and directly on one scene or one band so that I deaden myself to the happenings of other music genres. But, I still find that I am sometimes left wanting a deeper selection of the less mainstream music in my collection.
CDNow offers a wonderful selection. It is intensely broad, spanning musical genres and even digging deep into some less popular genres. You can at least locate one CD by an underground artist that you are looking for. However, if you desire to get a full showing of that artists productions you will probably be disappointed. For something of that nature you would have better luck going directly to that artists' label.
Price varies for CDNow. Prices are usually reasonable, but you can find cheaper prices by going directly to an artists label and ordering from them. However, CDNow often runs sales where you can get some great deals on items that are on your wish list. The ease with which one can locate their music justifies the price to purchase it.
Shipping has never been a problem for me with CDNow. You can choose from different urgencies for your music and will pay accordingly. I typically ship using the cheapest possible method and am pleased to get my music within about a week.
My favorite feature on CDNow is the ability to listen to selected portions of tracks from an album that I may wish to buy. This is helpful when I am not terribly familiar with a band and desire to know if their music is really to my liking.
