As a veteran of Nokia Phones for many years, I decided to trade up when my 6010 was dropped onto a rock, busting the screen. I went to my local T-Mobile store and purchased one for $49.99. It included a laundry list of features with the usual camera, color screen, games and blah blah blah. It also included an FM radio, a gimmick yes, but a radio nonetheless. I was stoked when I turned it on for the first time. The first thing I noticed was the lag. It takes a good two seconds after you press the menu key for the phone to respond. This is partially due to the underpowered processor that was designed to improve battery life. Unfortunately, it killed the performance. As I dialed my first call, I recognized that the keys felt cheap and plastic-like. The screen felt like it was going to fall off when I opened it. But the menu was attractively arranged, even though the icons looked like something out of a Disney movie. The performance sucks, and I say that loudly and proudly. Playing games is out of the question; like trying to play GTA on a Commodore 64. The ringtones were limited to 8, including T-Mobiles famous jingle. The others included a dance song, latin, spy movie theme, standard telephone and classy. Two message alert tones could also be used. One was a simple two-tone chime and the other was something that sounded like it was straining to sound like rock music. It just got annoying. As time went on, I realized that the slow processor meant waiting for 10 seconds for the call to start after hitting the green button. And when the call begins, quality is terrible. Speech is garbled and I found myself repeating obvious things several times. But that is good; it improves the battery life, right? Wrong. The battery life settled out at 3 hours talk and 4 days standby: not too impressive. Then, after 2 months, the screen died. It looked somewhat like a cracked LCD, but the phone hadn't been dropped recently. So I said "screw it" and went to go buy a 6133, which is much better. DON'T BUY!
