This is a great little vacuum, but if the brush is prevented from rotating (long hair, carpet fringe, etc.) the small drive gear on the motor in the power head wears out and the brush no longer turns. This could be prevented by a design improvement (the vacuum designers can work on this) and the drive gear should be easy to find and install. I haven't found a replacement gear yet, and even if I do, I suspect it will not be easy to replace. Any reasonably handy individual can open the power head and remove the motor, so the drive gear should be made available.

The lower cord hook breaks :( if vacuum falls on floor. It is part of a major component that will no doubt be expensive to replace.
