At first I thought Ebay was the coolest thing since canned tuna but then I smarted up and realized it's not all it's cracked up to be, especially for inexperienced users.
Good Ebay-
The good Ebay is a great place to surf around looking for cool collectables, things that are hard to find, or anything that floats your boat. The prices are usually very good and its just so fun to look at all the different things for sale. When you win an auction you get in contact with the seller exchange addresses and then 2 weeks later they have your money and you have your item. It really is a great site but some people have to make it an unpleasant experience.
Bad Ebay-
The bad Ebay...geese, it can make your opinion of Ebay change in a second. Some sellers are cheaters who steal your money and unfortunately I was victimized by one of these folks. I bought an item for 40 bucks and I sent it out to her via Money Order and I have yet to receive my item, and I doubt I ever will. I tried getting in touch with Ebay but there is no costumer service and that really made it hard for me to bring my cheating seller to justice. I still plan on using Ebay in the future but beware of the people who cheat and steal.
In the end Ebay really is a great idea and a great site. Don't let a few idiots turn you away from the site. Just become comfortable with the site, look up the seller rating, and you should be a-o.k.
