And I just haven't gotten around to reading it. It's the sort of book that would interest me. Though I suspect I'm already among the converted, it's always nice to hear about someone's real experiences in trying to put this into practice.
Thanks for the review.

Lack of receptivity for this book may have something... (Reply to this comment)

...to do with a premier novelist and short story writer like Kingsolver shifting to a more consumer-oriented book with a sociao-political-lifestyle statement. Sometimes readers pigeon-hole writers, like musicians, and don't want changes to their comfort zone. And sometimes publishers don't want to put the marketing dollars behind out-of-the box efforts by a major best selling author that might "dilute the name brand."
Good one, Pam. Thanks to Peter (eplovejoy) for bringing your reviews to my attention.

This is perfect timing on your part because my last book review was about all the chemicals we ingest, inhale and absorb and your book is like a sequel. I'll have to read it. Thanks.
