The Bottom Line See it and enjoy! It's fun and gets everyone in the Christmas spirit.

After Seeing Chip Davis and Mannheim Steamroller Christmas tours in Tampa, Houston, Dallas and Atlanta. This review is
to confirm that the previous review still rings true.

The structure of the concert is still the same. The Christmas village is still there, guarded by toy soldiers, the carolers, costuming are still intact. The material has changed depending on new CD's to be promoted, but it's all for the best. These guys and ladies have been doing this a while and know how to entertain.

Each member of Steamroller performs brilliantly. Combining the talents of the performers and the brilliant orchestration and composition of Chip Davis.

Over all, the 2 things that make Steamroller's pieces so wonderful are the skill of the musicians, and the orchestration/arranging Chip Davis does so well. In addition, most "bigger peices" have "filler music" functioning as transitional passage in the piece.

Mannheim Steamroller is unique, their concerts are always evolving with new CD's to promote.

Professional musicians may note the use of sequenced material however the talent of each performer shines through.

So, I recoommend this conert due to the creative arrangements by Chip Davis, and by the performance of the best musicians around. Also I might add the music is energizing!

The musicians are: featured Keyboard artist-Jackson Berkey
supporting keyboards Almeda Berkey
First vionlist Arnie Roth
Bass/quitars Ron Cooley
Percussion "toys" Roxanne Leighton
And of coure on Drums...Chip Davis

Due to the high tec use of computers....and sequencing,
the concert sounds exactly as the pieces sound on CD.

This is definately a family event, attire is dressy not formal and men usually are in Coats and ties.

If you have heard Steamroller's CD's and like them,
I guarantee you will love, and enjoy this concert.

Try for the floor seating with circular tables, offering wine, cheeze, fruit, etc. Price of those tickets run $60-$85.

I am biased, as I know some of the performers. I have seen them recording, and got to know the Berkeys. Good people.
The purpose of his review is to promote a great ensemble.

At this point, I fear going into too much detail, I know
the show, the secial effects and the technical tricks that make the magic work. To explain would spoil the magic.

Again, I recommend this concert....it's always spot on perfect.
