I'll admit, I try to cloth diaper my daughter most of the time. But there are times when I need to run a load of laundry, or I'm expecting a really big dirty diaper, or (insert excuse here) that I need to use a "sposie".
I received a few different types of diapers as baby shower gifts, and I have stuck with Pampers. For me, the best part about them is the stretchy sides. I feel like I can get them to fit SO much better than non-stretchy diapers. They also fit better than the ones that claim to be stretchy, or have stretchy tabs.
Another benefit for me is the printed design on the front. This is going to sound silly, I know, but it is helpful to use as a gauge as to how tight the diaper should be. Both my husband and my mother in law (who watches my baby two mornings a week) tend to really crank down and put the diaper on as tight as they possibly can.
When she just gets into a size, the tabs might overlap. Next stage, they meet. Next stage, they go on either side of Elmos face (or Cookie Monster, or Ernie, or Bert, etc.) It gives them a visual to go by when the baby is squirming and kicking and attempting to dive off the changing table.
Of course, the diapers work well as they should containing leaks and messes. I especially like the double ruffle at the leg openings. Messes might sneak by the first band, but they dont usually get by the second one.
Because my daughter is on the small side, having the 2-3 "half size" option is really helpful. She is crawling, so the size 2 diapers cut into her legs. However, the 3s seem quite large and I don't know if they would hold things in on her just yet.
