Very Bad Experience with LAMPS PLUS

VERY BAD customer service. I ordered a flush mount lighting fixture for my kitchen area and it came in on time but it was shipped damaged. So I called the number on the paper it was shipped on and it wasn't lamp plus it was the manufacturer. I told the manufacturer about my problems and they told me I needed to contact lamps plus about my problem first. My first thought is if the manufacture doesn't help solve the problem then they should have provided the number to call. So I went online and emailed them and they said they'd ship me out a replacement. So two weeks later I email them to ask if they shipped it and I got no response. So I emailed them two more times before they told me that they would now send me a prepaid shipping label and after they receive the item and process it I will then get the replacement shipped out. HOLD UP! They should have sent me the prepaid shipping label THE FIRST TIME around, not a month later. I don't have an issue sending the item back, but what irritates me is the fact that they didn't say it up front. It took multiple emails to find out where my replacement item was, only to find out that I now have to wait for a shipping label to ship back to them and for them to process it before I get a replacement. I ordered this light DECEMBER 12th 2007 and I just go the shipping label through email yesterday so now I will probably not get my lamp until sometime in February! They really need to get more organized. Maybe going to the actual store would be better. But be careful when ordering a fragile item. And prepare to wait a while before getting it.
