The Bottom Line Time and money to spare may be worth a shot, but beware with in-stock status and false promises.

Be wary when dealing with UrbanComp. They list a lot of items as "in-stock". This actually means in stock at the manufacturer (they hope), not their warehouse, so items may take weeks to ship. They take your order and then really work at stringing you along. Before telling me that they actually didn't have the item I heard plenty of reasons why they couldn't give me a tracking number, mostly bogus.
They bill your credit card IMMEDIATLY however, and it can be difficult to get the money back. Be prepared to provide proof to your CC company, and chargbacks impact your ability to chargback in the future.
Be especially careful with respect to items that can be sold refurb such as LCD monitors. Had someone put me on hold to check if the box was new. Returned to say it was. But a call later was informed they had no boxes in stock.
They do have good prices, and the nice thing is you usually can get someone on the phone. But doing business with companys that are not upfront or honest with the basics pretty much insures you will get hit if anything gets complicated.
For those willing to risk it, and with time to spare they may be a good choice. Be prepared to issue a chargeback however should they fail to ship their instock items weeks after ordering them.
Note [12/22/01]: They did come through with the refund.
