Good but lacks features

Pros:Free download, easy to use, make your own e-books
Cons:Activation can be buggy, lack of two page view
The Bottom Line: I would recommended this to anyone who wants to bed on a computer screen. Lacks two-page display and could be easier to use.
I was excited when I first learned of e-books and their possibilities. After I went to Microsoft's site http://www.microsoft.com/reader and downloaded the free program my excitement quickly faded.
The biggest problem I had was activating the reader. It repeatedly failed. Later I found that my firewall was interfering with Microsoft's server.
Once I got it up and running I downloaded Microsoft's free e-books and added them into my library. I also went to Amazon's website and downloaded more free e-books. I purchased a couple of novels and as I read them I noticed that the display was too blurry so I adjusted the display. The reader gives you a lot of flexibility to do this. Overall the fonts in the reader makes my eyes less fatigued.
It would be nice if Microsoft came out with a version of the reader that showed two pages on the same screen. The search and highlighting features are extremely useful. The drawing feature is for the most part a waste.
This technology is in its infancy so I expect a lot more features in the future as it progresses.
