Andrew got me started on my fatal attraction problems, which was neat since I had always wondered just who was really reading my Live Journal (though, of course, I know a few).
*Sigh* I am a nosy little byeeotch. I want to read the fatal attraction drama. What's your Live Journal address? (:

Garrett, that's so very true. I know I was trying to rap along with them but I think they were even messing me up. Definitely no race thing, just a couple off-beat mofos. Some times you just don't need salt 'n pepa for a hot rap cover.
But, yeah, those other two guys who did that "G Thang" song weren't bad. :o)

Yeah...Margie was strugglin' a bit, however, the guys who did Gin and Juice may win for the worst performance of the night. Then again, I got to yell "biatch!" 3 times into the mic. So, everything was all good.
Dude, I think we both kept them on beat as much as possible. It wasn't even a white/black thing either. Both guys were just horrible. Unlike that white/black pair who did Dre and Snoop. Those guys were pretty tight.

Hey Caroline!
Oh yeah, as I state in the review, Margie would've had Paul's babies. We could've witnessed an Epinions conception. Awww, how cute that would've been (or somethin').
It was a grand time meeting you, also. We'll see where I can get with this hip-hop thing.
Thanks a bunch for dropping by.

Holy cow was she funny or what???!!!! I think she woulda done Paul right there on the dance floor if he had been willing.
Eric, you were so much fun and it was wonderful to meet you. The karaoke was a blast and now I'm waiting for you to convince me about hip hop.
Also, you're gorgeous!
((((hugs))))

The OLD dude? What OLD dude? I don't see no freakin' OLD dude! :o)
Thanks a bunch for dropping by and for the kind words...it was really a pleasure to meet you. I guess us music-ers just know how to party. But really, is that so surprising?
Glad you enjoyed what you read, especially with the closer. Take care!

As for Stevens, I get into a little Cat every now and then. I just have "The Very Best..." which I just bought yesterday, though I know it like the back of my hand because my dad has it and we listened to it all summer. See, yet another reason my dad rules!
Uh oh.

the OLD dude is going to try and be kewl for a moment. You're absolutely right, the Music group did rock the Meet & Greet. You all seemed to be having a great, joyous time. It was nice to meet you and good luck with the Peace Corps and whatever you do with your life.
There was one thing you wrote that sums up everything: When you're a part of something like Epinions, the definition of an "internet connection" goes far beyond the cord from the computer to the wall. That was absolutely brilliant and oh so true!

You'll get a chance to redeem yourself with your review... and you didn't butcher "Peace Train" nearly as much as Drunken Margie did the friggin' 4 Non Blondes song.
And I had no idea you were such a Cat Stevens fan. I've got most of his studio records... my favorite song though is "On the Road to Find Out"... kicks my butt every damn time.

But, I figured he'd pout for a couple of minutes and then realize that sleep is much more important than a Red Hot Chili Peppers song.
Right?
No, damn it! Especially since no one went to bed. But of course, I ain't mad. I haven't been to a good wedding party in quite a while. It's allllllll gravy.
(sigh)...now I feel bad..
I owe you one, Eric.
Nah! Well, we'll get together one day and then I'll get to do "Under the Bridge" and right my wrongs from "Peace Train". I must or I will never be right with Mr. Stevens.
Maybe we should all, like, get some sleep?

Hey Paul!
Thanks for layin' the comment down!
I have not listened to the mix yet. Been listening to "The Very Best of Cat Stevens" (review pending) all day. :o) Don't worry though. I'll definitely get to it.
I can relate to the whole zombie thing. I had to drive at 5:30 in the freakin' morning! It's just about beddy-by time for Eric.
Oh, and I never did "Under the Bridge". I signed up for it and it was coming soon, but then you guys wanted to leave. It was my chance at redemption, but alas, it was not to be.
Get your bags together, go bring your good friends too!

We never got to "Under The Bridge" (I think I just made an inadvertent funny there). I had the bartender lady shuffle the cards to get "The Girl Is Mine" up next, and after that I was like "Let's get outta here", so Eric never got to sing "take me to the place I loooooove". But, I figured he'd pout for a couple of minutes and then realize that sleep is much more important than a Red Hot Chili Peppers song.
Right?

Man, I've been walking around in a semi-coma all day, but dude, I had a blast yesterday.
And where the hell was I for "Under the Bridge"? Totally missed that... must have still been reeling from the realization that you're just a big ol' terrorist evildoer.

Hey Lori!
It was awesome seeing you, too! It's too darn bad that you couldn't make it to The Blue Frog, but your reasons are (obviously) totally understandable. Here's hoping your healing continues to progress well.
These things do, indeed, rawk and I hope to attend another one soon!
As for Paul and a camera...didn't Andrew have one? I'm thinkin' he might have something on that. We shall see.
Thanks for stopping by!

But man. What a blast. Paul rulez. We shoulda had a video camera....

Hi Tim!
Yeah, man, I thought that you might go to this thing but you never said so. That sucks! But maybe next time.
Paul was definitely not a surprise and you're write, his writing does show that he's a free-spirit and a fun guy. As I said, he's as advertised. But besides him, everyone was just a super person. It was just great.
As far as Donnie Darko goes, say no more! I am excited as heck to see it and Blockbuster didn't have it! Sucks. But I will get it eventually, so, shhhhh. :o)
Thanks a ton for dropping by!

Mom and I were leaving Kentucky (where her parents live) Saturday morning, and the whole morning I kept thinking to myself "Damn, I wish we could go North!" But alas, I guess sometimes you can't live for the day. Better to go back to familiarity, hating it all the while.
Why does the Paul story not surprise me? You can tell by the guy's writing that he's nutso. I'd love to have seen that. The Karaoke sounds like it woulda been a blast too. "Under The Bridge" is one of my favorite songs. And I'd give up cigarettes for a week to hear Mike sing "Super Freak"! (Whoa, that rhymed)
Oh yes, and see "Donnie Darko" for sure. The greatest thing about that movie is that the last thing you have to worry about is spoiling it in the meantime. 'Cause you won't understand a damn thing about what they're saying anyway. All I can say is that I think that movie made me sadder than I've been as far back as I can remember, when she says "No" at the end. Anyways, enough about that.
I'm so glad you guys had a blast!

Hiiiiiiiii Shelly!
It was real great to meet you in person. You rule and you really aren't that shy. I mean, if you want to be, that's okay. But I felt you were pretty darn open and that's definitely a good thing.
Besides that, it was definitely a great time. I'm glad you enjoyed the read and that you took the time to comment.

of the day's many events. I think the image of Paul dancing to Baby One More Time will be forever burned into my brain. But in a good way--it was all good.
Seriously, Eric, I'm pleased we all had the opportunity to get together and get to know one another on a level so far beyond anything that the Internet can offer.
Great stuff, I'm telling you.
I'm just gonna have to write one of these myself though I somehow doubt it will even be half as cool as this.
Shelly.
