How About Indiana In The Fall!?! (Reply to this comment)

My original plans were to be on my way home from visiting Uncle Kermit around the time of the Chicago one--and it turns out that I didn't even go there, thanks to threats of slick weather.
Too bad the M&G wasn't held at the same time as one of my visits to Indiana Dunes, because it would have been a hop, skip, and a jump for me to make it over there, if that were the case.
But how about Indiana next fall?
Somewhere in Anderson would be a great place to meet, and there are all kinds of possibilities in Indianapolis!
The first is my home town and Indy would be easy for me to get to.
I find it, as a whole, to be a city that's quite easy to navigate, and most places have very ample parking.
And, of course, this is even more true of Anderson.
I'll scout around and find a place that would be what would make a great M&G--and one with local flavor instead of a chain.
Will see how many places I can come up with that would suit us!
Anyway, thanks for the very interesting sharing that includes so many links to those who made it there!

A "Meet and Greet" will make its way to a part of the country closer to where I live. Actually, when the time was drawing near for this meet and greet, I considered making a surprise appearance at this event. I logged in and checked the price of flights, but there were no good deals available. Everything was either already booked or priced sky- high ($400+), so I decided it was best not to go this time. Hopefully, Epinions will schedule a gathering in Atlanta very soon.

Tom already said yes in Chicago and I do not allow take-backs... bargaining shoulda happened there. HA!
But yanno what... Tom prolly *can* work out a group rate on a hotel over there as soon as we get a solid date....

Maybe she can work out some group rates for hotel and flights in conjunction with the Eps staff (although I know the flight one would be difficult since we'd all be coming from different parts of the continent.) I'm gonna have to be on my best behaviour for the next few months with the S.O. so I can get there...

Kath--It was great to meet you and your wonderful family! It really is a real treat to meet people I have only known in cyberspace for so long. It's really great to be able to meet in person. I am blushing after reading this warm and fuzzy write up! Sorry it took me until now to read it.
You and your wonderful family were definitely a highlight of my afternoon, as well. All of you were just as your write and as I imagined. Our time was all too brief together. If you ever come to Chicago again, we will have to have more quality time together. You are a sweet one!

I wish I could have met you, Michael and Melissa. I attended the S. California Meet & Greet and had a great time.
I was really scared in the beginning then as everyone started talking I had a blast!

....I was so glad that we were able to go Bonnie. It is so much more than just the afternoon with some epinions people. It is like finally getting together with old friends. I just loved it.
I understand with babysitter problem though. It is hard to relax and have a good time if you are worried. Maybe one day it will be closer to you and you'll be able to get there, even if only for a few minutes.

You're right too...we sure need more than 3 hours. Maybe if they had an early get together and then mentioned the option of a continuance of it somewhere else later in the day.
Darn, I wish I would have gotten to the karaoke afterward...sure sounded like fun.

I have to wonder, though, if the nonresidents of the U.S. feel cheated and that's sad. Should be one in Canada and England.
First off Jan, this is a US based company.. at least Eps pays them, unlike the UK based Ciao which will NOT pay US residents....
However, you're a bit behind on the news... there IS an official greet planned in London, which I plan to fly over for. Great excuse for a trip to Europe. heh.

I could have been there for another two or three hours hanging out with the crowd. I enjoyed meeting you and your hubby and your family (and playing against them in VR).

As soon as I saw you I had to rush over and hug you. Yep, I've only been with Eps since February this year but I've come to know so many wonderful people, you included. It was such a fantastic time, if I have my way I'll be at every M&G from now on. It really was like seeing old friends, we need to make these things into two day events I think.

I could not do the Southern California one since I had no babysitters and it was in Orange County, too far a drive to be away from my kids in case of emergency.

I was close to packing up and driving out there. My wife was expecting to head to her family's in New York that week but ended up not going. I don't plan on missing the next one... would have been great to meet you all.

It's such a trip being around Tom and Doc, each time I leave them I want to see them again right away the vibes are so great!
I hear that (hopefully) there will be one in South Florida next year, maybe you can come south???

Wow, I can't believe how many Wisconsin people were there (I also dwell in the lovely state). Next time the M&G greet should be in Milwaukee, it'd be a lot more convenient for a lot of us.
