Pros:High Quality, Smooth Ride, Washable, Comfortable
Cons:Kind-of Bulky in Malls
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend the $200 to $370 purchase price. Especially if you are an avid jogger and/or outdoor enthusiast, the Baby Jogger Jogger II is well worth the expense!

Prior to having my first daughter, I had no inclination toward realization of importance in stroller difference. There I was first time Mom, and proud owner of a rather basic – bottom of the line – Graco stroller. It was a simple gray, with tri-color stripe, and seemed capable of accomplishing the baby-toting task. It didn’t take me long to realize that sucker wasn’t going to meet the needs, and back it went. Lesson one: dual front wheels are important for mall shopping.

The next stroller we purchased was a very deluxe Baby Trend. Options were immense and included such things as plush interior, sky window, multiple wheel position options, adjustable push bar, various covers (boot cover / insect cover), removable bar, and so forth. Considering the year was 1990, this stroller seemed like the BMW of strollerville. Oh that luxury pushcart had its few disadvantages, but babe and I were high rollin’.

As will happen with time, material things deteriorate and become obsolete. Enter much wear, life style changes, and baby number two on the way….. This piece of equipment had seen it’s time, and simply was not worthy of the hand down. Enter – straight from the Children’s Company showroom floor…. Graco premium in the totally cool blue and white plush theme. Clean, spiffy, and ready to stroll.

* Sigh * Baby number two was ‘blow-out’ queen, and it took not long at all for little Miss to stain the plush (white background) interior to a recognizable “oops” ground. * Yuck! * Yes it was washable, but – no – the stains were too much for the tender fabric. Lesson learned: White is not a good background color for strollerville!

Being particular (kinda like Dr. Steph and car seats * snicker *) of stroller appearance and performance, it was quite obvious that stroller shopping was in the perceivable future. Considering the Graco had failed miserably during zoo adventures, I knew research was needed. Thankfully, a good mommy friend recommended checking into the Baby Jogger line. My aunt purchased one for us (she lives near Yakima), and proudly presented us with what would soon became a “duh” should have bought one long ago asset of baby equipment bliss.

Zoo trips went remarkably well. With ease we trekked on the dirt and/or gravel inclines, over stones, bumps, and so forth. It was clearly obvious the Baby Jogger was superior for outdoor adventures! Remember that blowout problem I mentioned? Not a challenge any longer! The material is easy to cleanse on this heavy-duty stroller!

Our stroller is a wonderful purple color, and has clearly stood the test of time. I highly recommend the $200 to $370 purchase price. Especially if you are an avid jogger and/or outdoor enthusiast, the Baby Jogger Jogger II is well worth the expense! Our expeditions have included pathways of concrete, asphalt, turf, gravel, inclines, mud, river rock, sand, and more. Never have we regretted ownership of this fine stroller.

Although the appearance isn’t as cutesy as some may desire, the longevity supercedes any designer fabric appeal! I will be honest and say that I don’t prefer the Baby Jogger Jogger II for mall shopping or similar activities. However, considering how overcrowded most retail places are now… what stroller maneuvers with ease anyhoot?

Suffice to say we have multi strollers, and you may want to as well. Marisa was still riding in our Baby Jogger Jogger II at age four. Considering that at age 6 she is only 50 lbs., she is still far from the stroller frame tolerance of 100 lbs. I continue to use this stroller for children within my day care, and expect many more years of use!

Basics and Some Frills
The tripod shape frame is made of a very light anodized aluminum, and holds 100 pounds. Recommended age for use is stated 6-8 weeks to four years. But the manufacturer does state restriction is more weight capacity pertinent than age.

One element to consider is the fact that newborns 6 weeks and under aren’t able to regulate their temperature very well, so be certain to provide proper warmth. Also, the younger infants may benefit from a head roll support. We found that the one used in Marisa’s car seat worked very well for stroller rides during her first couple months.

The included canopy has a little window and retracts. The Baby Jogger Jogger II folds for storage. When folded our 16” wheeled stroller measures 47"x 20" x 6.5".

Removal of the wheels is fairly easy (they are “quick-release”), but a choice that is up to you. I personally don’t remove them. All Baby Jogger Jogger II strollers are equipped with internal springs that lend to the smooth ride for baby.

The consumer has the choice of upgrading to a beefier shock set-up. Kinda a ‘macho feature’ if ya ask me.

Understand that the seat on the Baby Jogger Jogger II is unstructured, allowing it to conform to each child. For us, this was a positive attribute. To date, every child I have strolled has seemed delighted with the ride.

You may choose from a variety of accessories that include:
Fleece Insert
Baby Jogger Carrying Bag
Teensy Weensy Boppy Neck roll
Lightweight Mesh Basket

The frame has a lifetime warranty. The wheels, seat and canopy, tires and tubes are covered with a one-year warranty. Customer satisfaction is important to the manufacturer and they state that “If for any reason you are not happy with your stroller, simply return it in good condition to the place of purchase within 30 days and We’ll either give you a refund or exchange it, whichever you prefer. You will only have to pay for the freight.”

Which Wheel Size
It is your choice! The Baby Jogger Jogger II is available with 12”, 16”, and 20” sized wheels. It is recommended that you take into consideration the typical terrain condition you will be subjecting your stroller to. If frequent running and/or rough ground navigation is your forte… big is better. Rather, if you mostly will be covering smooth ground and partaking in casual walks – the smaller wheels will serve you fine. We mustn’t forget that aesthetic partiality will sway some to the kewl 20”, and leave some preferring the petite/charming 12”. Regardless of size preference, this stroller looks serious, and will persevere adventures nicely. Size does affect cost… the bigger the tire, the more you pay. Our Baby Jogger Jogger II sports the common 16” wheels, and has served our every need.

Color??!!
The Baby Jogger Jogger II is available in Red, Black, Turquoise, Navy and Purple. I feel that even the finicky color palate will be satisfied with the options provided. The choices available tend to be gender friendly, making your purchase a stable addition to your family unit.

I know various people with these strollers (various colors of fabric). The strollers range in age from 1 to 5 years. One factor remains… I see no signs of fading or fabric ruin. All soiling has easily cleaned up with a wet wipe, and left no obvious stain. Crumbs sweep away and spilled drink has caused no signs of stain.

Comfortable??!!
One of my darling friends actually stated that my Baby Jogger Jogger II looked massive to her, and couldn’t possibly be comfortable to babe. Wrong! In actuality, it has been my experience that this stroller provides a remarkably commodious excursion. Evidence? Sure! I present to you… a blissfully slumbering babe! My daughter had reflux, which occasionally caused an upset tummy – a stroll in this fine cart, and she was lulled to sleep.

Also, one of my dear friends has a colicky daughter… a ride in the Baby Jogger Jogger II is like magic to the young ones demeanor! Guess what that family purchased? Yup! A Baby Jogger Jogger II! I have no desire to part with mine. As an in-home day care provider, this is a jewel staple to my must haves!

Safe??!!
Safety is a major positive factor with these fine drives! The aBaby Jogger Jogger II meets all of the federal regulations for strollers. The seatbelts sewn into the seats and the Jogger II sports a newly designed five-point harness. The tripod shape is notably sturdy, and certain to endure years of use. (Not abuse – “use”)

Every stroller has a parking brake and one added element of noteworthiness, is the wrist strap that aids to prevent runaways. Every Jogger II has a bike-style caliper hand brake and a lock button for parking.
