That is so GREAT when you can go back in time to remember some personality that you were very lucky to have met. As far as the site going done it seems like a catch 22 now. If you want to type a comment, especially a long one and then it disappears on you then ah sh.t. So you type it in MS Word from now on and now Epinions does not handle text properly from there causing strange characters. So you are Damed if you do and Damed if you don't, what's a poor boy to do?

You definitely aren't!!!

I was here once before to tell you this, but the site decided to undergo one of its renovation times just as I'd posted a nice, long comment!

Don't you just hate it when that happens!?!

Anyway, I had the pleasure of meeting Frankie Valli in the summer of 1967 when The Four Seasons were rehearsing for a show they'd be doing later that evening at The Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco.

The others were there, too, but Frankie was the only one who was taking a rehearsal break, so my dad and I got to spend a lot of time with him.

He invited us back later for an after-the-show party, but Daddy wasn't sure if he could navigate SF traffic (bad enough in the daytime), and he didn't want to impose on Uncle Finley who had to get up early the next day to go to work.

Naturally, I was disappointed about not being able to go back for the party, but I was still thrilled just to have had the chance to meet this adorable guy.

Hugs!

I stopped downloading everything off the Internet many months ago myself. My PC has too much junk on it now and I have all kinds of problems with it. It sometimes shuts the PC down 5 or more times a day. I get thrown out of Epinions sometimes as well. This is the 6th time I am try to respond with my comment because of this stupid computer throwing me out of Epinions and it is very frustrating.

Great Review... (Reply to this comment)

...Ron on the best group/band of all-time! However ...like most other reviews on the subject there seems to be some confusion about Nick Massey. He was replaced later on by Joe Longo but was the deep bass voice on the Vee Jay releases. A fun review, anyway!...Pete

a marvel to read. Can't wait to read up on The Four Tops and I'm anxiously awaiting your history on Marvin Gaye. Take care, Ron and you and your family have a happy and safe Thanksgiving.

We have an oldies station here in Jacksonville as well COOL FM 96.9. This year they are doing something they have never done before. Starting yesterday they are playing oldie Christmas songs 24/7 up until Christmas night which is way cool. It use to be they would play 1 or 2 songs an hour starting around 1 December and then 1 day before Christmas 24/7 oldies for only 2 days. I listened all day yesterday at work and I Love it.

Now I'll have Sherry stuck in my gored all day. Thanks man... J/K...I grew up listening to these songs and I love them. As a matter of fact, I think I'll put on some oldies right now. There's a neat oldies station here in Seattle. Take care...
