You sound like a hard worker!! Congrats on nearing your retirement date. Don't be scared, you'll love it! I retired in 2002 and was a bit apprehensive, but have not regretted it once.
When my dad retired, he invested some of his extra money in buying a couple of rental houses. They gave him something to do in his spare time but didn't take up all of his time. Over the years he ended out accumulating 14 rental homes and made a bit extra income off of them.
Now they are paid off and are pure profit.
Something to think about.

Make sure you got the finances nailed down for 'worst case scenarios' and then go find something to keep you busy. There are ten thousand organizations that would 'die' for your volunteer 'work'.
